I installed 4 of these speakers in the ceiling. I’m using them as center and rear speakers in my surround system.

The speakers come with the necessary template, as well as a plastic compass, to ensure proper cutting of the drywall. Installation was as easy as possible, considering the prep work involved, such as assuring the cuts were away from house wiring and ceiling suppport beams.

The 15 degree tilt of the speakers allowed me to aim the bulk of the sound toward my lazyboy chair. Tweeter also is directional. I’m using full sized cabinet speakers for the front, and have a small voice speaker box and a powered sub.

I’m using a Yamaha 7.1 amp, with 90Watts possible for each speaker (630 Watt amp).

Over the weekend, I tried to bend the system with an AC/DC concert DVD. The only thing broken, possibly, is my hearing.

Let’s just say I’m “Thunderstruck” by the speaker performance. Dollar for dollar, I’m completely satisfied. I found these speakers for 55 bucks each, with free shipping.
