C 403 Bookshelf Loudspeakers – Dark Apple (Pair)
| Overall rating: |
|

C 403 is a high-efficiency loudspeaker with increased power handling capability. The C 403s are perfect as standalone front speakers, if you need compact cabinets with great dynamics, but they are equally well suited as rear speakers in a surround sound setup. Pair them with the E660 or E680 floorstanding loudpspeakers, also in dark apple.

WOW!!
I just past 20 hours and they are clean/smooth sounding and detailed. Since I’ve had the Jamo C401 in use for weeks, I’ll compare the sound as being similar but having more impact. Where the C401 is a bit more localized due to it’s small stature, these reach out to a larger area. The DTT tweeter is identical in both, so the highs are mirror image, but the larger 5 1/2″ woofer makes these great candidates for fronts on a stereo or fronts for a surround system. The bass is deep and substantial, so I would set them up as large speakers and allow the wide frequency response and high output to do it’s job. Needless to say, I recommend these as quality front speakers.
