It sounds good and it was a good buy. Easy to install with no problems.

We recently installed the SP6C’s in our small Office/Computer/Work Room.

Coupled them with a NuTone volume control, as the ’source’ is two rooms away.

For the most part we are running commercial free Live365 from our router to our Tivo and then through a home theater system for the bedroom. Once in awhile we might play a CD, or tape, or FM radio through the home theater source, to other rooms, but we mostly run the Live365.

The JBLs were a breeze to install, nice to look at, and have a sound that is better than we expected, for all of what we play. Nice clear sound, the highs are high, the lows are low, there is nice separation.

The ability to aim the tweeter’s is a plus for convergence.

I was a little bit leery of getting the off white, as I thought that it would not look right with our conventional condo popcorn ceilings.

But the price was right, so I ordered them, just the same.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that they blend in beautifully.

We have ceiling speakers of different brands in some of our rooms.

The bedroom, home theater set up calls for, and benefits from, our Parasound Pal-1002-Cerwin Vega amplified sub woofer.

We were wondering how we would fare with the JBLs in a room without the subwoofer.

They hold up very well at the lower volumes we run the sound at in the small room that they are in. We hardly miss the sub at all.

All in all, we are very happy with the JBLs

Caveat: We run mostly classical, Nu Age and Jazz music.

I am not sure how they would hold up to Rock or other music at high volume.

Fantastic purchase. Not the most technical person in the world, but these installed so easily, and look great. Blend into my ceiling (used for rears in my home theater system). Can’t beat the price.

I bought these as in wall speakers for my kitchen. The bass response is so good, I am thinking of adding couple more in the dining area. Amazing.

it’s pretty simple, you get what you pay for… no these won’t be able to handle the loudest music with ease nor would i recommend them for home theatre surround…

however, they work perfectly fine for ambient sound throughout the house… in all i bought 3 pair; one for the kitchen, the master bath, and the utility room… utilizing some volume switches and an additional receiver connected to zone 2 on my master receiver and i couldn’t be happier…

absolutely nothing wrong with these as long as you don’t ask too much of them…

Great speakers for the money. I used them for rear speakers in my home theater and they blend perfectly with the rest of the system.

The speakers were easy to install and work well. For the size and price, they are a great deal. The bass response is not great, but that’s not what you are looking for in speakers like this. I’m not sure they would be worth the original price at $250, but at <$100 they are well worth it.

These speakers were easy to install, and look great.

As I have come to expect from JBL, they sound even better than I had hoped, and for a great price. I will be buying more (when I find a good excuse)

I previously bought AudioSource and liked them just fine for background level music thru the home. For my office I wanted something I could turn up a bit if I wished. I used JBL commercially and this pair was the right price. After procrastinating a month putting them up, now they are in, it’s awesome.

Great stereo image, nice bass response and clear articulated sound.

I compared these to Bose and two other brands that are in demo walls at Best Buy. The JBL’S had the tightest base of the four along with excellent highs. So I decided to get a set, I found them on Amazon for less than half the cost including shipping, recieved in quick order, installed them on an older 5.1 system as my rear surrounds and I just love the sound they produce, will be buying one more set when I upgrade to the newer 7.1 setup in the near furture. I can’t hardly wait.

Good sound quality for the sub-$150 (per pair) price tag. Easy to install.

Bought these for $100 from an Amazon merchant. Was surprised how easily these installed. If you haven’t installed in-wall speakers before I definitely would recommend getting a drywall saw (about $10 from Home Depot) instead of trying to use a utility knife. The saw is so much easier. The speakers come with a stencil where you can draw the exact size hole and then cut away! Any mistakes are covered up very neatly by the speakers overlap. They look awesome once they are up. The sound was also very high quality…especially these were only $100 for a pair. I own other high very quality speakers (Wharfedales) and these sound as good.

After much debate and research, I decided to purchase eight of these speakers for my home. I have been very pleased with their performance and the installation was a breeze.

Typical ceiling speakers from known respected brands all had great sound but a hefty price tag to match. This speaker carried a middle of the road price for a pair, and packed quite a punch once it was installed. I have been very pleased with the overall performance in my home. It has been a nice addition, and is fabulous for entertaining!
