These are priced right and get loud enough for me! I haven’t had any problems. The sound is clear throughout: highs, mids, lows. I did not do any kind of extensive test. I just watch some DVDs and plays some games using Dolby Digital. I don’t have the best surround sound system, but it works well enough. Nothing high end…

These speaker sound great. Good bass and sound good fairly loud (haven’t tried really loud). Just about anything you buy from Pioneer is great and for the price it makes them even better. Sound great on my Pioneer receiver and would reccomend to all looking for good speakers.

I use these for rear suround. They are great for this purpose. Not sure how they would work out as mains, but not bad for the price.

I have been using these speakers in my bedroom for about a month now. I currently have them amplified via the Multiroom speaker out on a Marantz SR5500 in another room. I would consider the speakers fully broken in now, and overall, I am quite pleased. They are not the prettiest pair of bookshelf speakers out there, but at lower listening levels they provide good clarity and range. I even listen to Super Audio CDs with these, and do not have anything to complain about given what they cost. These speakers can also handle some pretty loud sound levels, although highs begin to break up a bit and sound harsh. The bass that they put out at higher levels will thump your floor though. I would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a good bargain on bookshelf speakers without sacrificing too much quality and who also isn’t overly worried about aesthetics.
