The Proficient AW8070V is an indoor/outdoor speaker with one 8-inch polypropylene woofer, and two 1.25-inch pivoting aluminum dome tweeters. It is enclosed in weather resistant ABS housing with a powder coated aluminum grille. Includes swivel mounting bracket.

Excellent Speaker
I bought 2 of these Proficients for 3rd zone speakers in a multi-room set-up. The price was right. I was looking for speakers with mounting brackets that could be mounted on a wall. So far as outdoor/wall-mount speakers go, these are large — they are 16″ x 9″ x 9″.
The Amazon product description does not go very far into the versatility of this speaker. With a 70 volt amplifier this speaker can be linked in a “daisy chain” series. I don’t have mine in such a set-up, so I can’t comment on how well that might work.
I have my Proficients hooked up to a conventional 120V home stereo receiver. They sound close to perfect. Deep bass is not there. Get a subwoofer if thump is important to you.
I had originally intended for these to provide sound for my exercise room. They sound so good that the old Polk S8s (which still sound as good as new) that I have in my bedroom have been put in the exercise room. These were promoted to the bedroom.
