I bought this because I can never get the ones that go through the car stereo to work well. I have the hearing of an old lady and really found these to be wonderful. The only problem is finding a way to have them stay put (I wrap around shoulder strap). They are loud enough for both male and female narrators, and they don’t seem to run the battery down on my iPod any faster than usual. However, three months later it doesn’t work any more.

I know you can’t expect home stereo quality from this tiny speaker, but I wish it could be at least louder than my laptop. It seems loud enough when I play audiobooks and pop music. But when I use it to play classic music, even the relativaly loud piece like four season, it just doesn’t sound any louder than my laptop speaker, which is a bit disappointing.

It’s definitely not for playing music when you are working around a big room. Studio maybe. I use it on my desk when I was working on my computer.

Overall, it’s cute, very cute. It’s the size of two compact makeup powder. For this price and the convenience of not using batteries, I’m not complaining too much.

These are handy little speakers. They don’t require any power so I can use them anywhere. They’re sturdy, have decent quality sound, and offer a fair amount of volume without distortion. I’m happy with them and have no complaints.

They aren’t an audiophile’s dream, but they’re great for the price.

Small enough to carry around and the sound is good enough to be heard clearly with traffic noise. Great buy for the money.

I bought these speakers because I could no longer stand using a FM transmitter to listen to my ipod through my car radio. (I had to keep changing stations as I moved into different locations. This can be dangerous while driving…) This speaker is perfect for listening to my audiobooks. The sound is loud enough to hear over the noise outside of the car (windows closed of course) and during a family trip even those in the back seat listened in. I now carry the speakers around with me when I don’t want to use headphones but still want to hear my stories. Great deal for such a low price.

Granted, it isn’t the loudest or the lightest portable speaker out there. But, you don’t have to worry about packing extra batteries when you travel. Grab your mp3 player, grab this, and you are set.

I bought these speakers for work, so I can listen to my ipod. They work great! Great sound and I don’t have to change batteries every week. I definitely recommend these speakers.

Some might say, “What do you want for less than $15.00″?! However, when I read the reviews, I thought that maybe I had tapped into a product that had big sound for a small price and size… WRONG! Unless the raters who gave it 5 stars are using this product inside of closet, I don’t think we bought the same item! I gave it two stars because it is a cute li’l thing and it fits inside of my purse. However, the old adage “You get what you pay for”, certainly applies to the sound quality. I wound up buying a JBL portable speaker three days later. I paid another $90.00, but at least it has amazing sound quality and is relatively small. It’s not worth the postage and hassle to return the Sony, so I guess I’ll hang onto it for when I feel the need to listen to music inside of my closet! :-)

It is a very bad product, really not worth it. I thought my toshiba laptop speakers were low, but compared to this sony speakers they are very good!!!! If you r looking for a cheap but good speakers u’d rather look for the triton speaker i got it after my failed experience with that sony ones, and they are surprisingly good regarding its small size and low price

If you can tolerate just a little bit bigger speaker with batteries, there are better choices for the money. iHome iHM10B from Wal-Mart is better sounding (a subjective opinion) and cheaper, but it is a little bigger and takes batteries. However, if your first priority is portability, these will do nicely.

I bought mine at a discount retailer, and WOW this speaker is great! Requires no batteries, collapses so it doesn’t get bulky to travel with, and the cord wraps and snaps into the case so it won’t tangle or get broken.

You’re not going to blare your stereo with an unpowered system, but it gets plenty loud to listen to in a medium-sized room (think your hotel room). The sound is good; no distortions or fuzz. Maybe a little weak in the bass area, but I’m not complaining.

It matches my pink iPod to boot! I’m a happy customer.

I just received these speakers in the mail and I love them! They are small, very portable, good looking, don’t require batteries, and sound great. I had to adjust the settings on my ipod (music/EQ/small speakers) and they sound even better. I’m really happy with these!

Speakers are really handy. No batteries/plug required. Great for bringing with you on trips, etc. Volume is pretty good with our iPod, but when we used them with our laptop, they didn’t give any higher volume than the weak laptop speakers. Otherwise, they’re great.

These speakers might not have the best sound quality, but you can’t beat, for the price, how great they are for portablity and convenience. They are wonderful for personal speakers like while you are outside gardening, or lying on the beach. They can fit in your pocket and they don’t need batteries. I have two sets. one I use around the house and the other I keep with my travel items so it’s never lost.

I love these speakers. They are very portable, have great sound for the size, and don’t even require batteries! Plus, the price was great for a SONY product. For the aveage listener, these should work great. However, if you’re used to high-end audio products, you might want to invest in something more expensive or you could be disappointed. These speakers are perfect for the average on-the-go listener.

These speakers are spectacular and really cheap price. Just plug into your MP3 Player and The sound is great from these little speakers. No need to buy batteries either. Buy these speakers for a great sounding portable speaker system.

I just bought these speakers in pink/white at a local target store for $9.99 for a trip I’m taking in a couple of days. At the store, the black was $24.99, but the pink was $10. I like the pink/white ones over the black since I think I will be able to find them easier in my purse or suitcase. I plan to use them on my trip in my hotel room with my Ipod Touch. These are not the loudest speakers out there, but for $10, I think it’s an excellent deal. I also like the fact that they don’t require batteries or electricity, they simply run off my Ipod’s power. With this speaker using the earphone jack, I can plug my ipod into an electrical outlet or my computer at the same time to keep it charged up.

I wish the volume went a little louder, but for 10 bucks, no needed batteries or the need for an electric adapter, this is still a sweet deal. I plan to continue to use it after this trip and take it to work or just leave it in my suitcase for future trips.

One other thing, It is magnetic, I would be careful not to put it in my purse alongside any credit cards. I’m not sure if that may de-magnetize them.

I just bought this unit for 10 dollars at a local store. For that price, I think it’s a nifty piece of equipment. As others have said, don’t expect the sound to flood a large room or house, but if you don’t especially like wearing earplugs this little speaker system is great for putting on a nearby table. Lately, I’ve been travelling quite frequently and this is a great way to help take my music with me. I plan on leaving my other travel speaker which requires a power cord or batteries and is smallish, but bulky at home.
